On July 11, 2025, a special meeting on accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system (Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Industry Session) was held in Guangzhou. Academician Zhang Xu, Director of the Guangdong Institute of Intelligent Science and Technology and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, stated that brain-inspired intelligence technology, as the core direction of the new generation of intelligent technology, is reshaping the intelligent industry landscape. It covers fields such as brain-inspired computing, intelligent sensing, brain-computer interfaces, intelligent robotics, and brain tissue engineering, providing disruptive support for building an efficient and low-consumption intelligent industry system, and has become a future industry that the country is focusing on.

Core Breakthrough: Brain-Inspired Computing Technology

Brain-inspired computing technology is the core breakthrough point, achieving computational architecture innovation by simulating the neural structure and parallel processing mechanisms of the human brain.

Zhang Xu pointed out that the industrialization of brain-inspired technology will activate emerging industries such as brain-inspired chip manufacturing, intelligent robotics, and brain-computer fusion medical equipment, forming a full-chain ecosystem covering hardware, algorithms, and scenarios.
